Tyrod Taylor’s agent: Diamond mouthpiece ‘a complete fabrication’ – CBSSports.com

Apparently there’s a story out there about Tyrod Taylor, recently named the starting quarterback in Buffalo, purchasing a really expensive, diamond-studded mouthpiece. And apparently it’s not real.

TMZ reported Monday morning that Taylor met with Dr. Michael Wright, a “dentist to the stars,” who claims he created a custom mouthpiece that would be “blinged out with diamonds” for Taylor when he makes his first career NFL start.

Taylor’s agent Adisa Bakari denied the report, telling Mike Rodak of ESPN that any notion of a diamond-studded mouthpiece for Taylor was “a complete fabrication.”

Additionally, Bakari said Taylor and his family were “offended” that anyone would attempt to insinuate or claim Taylor would wear a diamond-studded mouthpiece for an NFL game.

Hard to blame him.

The Bills are going to be really interesting this year, mainly because of Taylor. Going with him as the starting quarterback is a bold move, or at least certainly not the safe play.

Taylor looked sharp passing and running the ball during the preseason, though, and it’s possible he might just stun the world. If he does, the Bills are primed to shine like the world’s blingiest mouthguard.
