TV Service Salesman Steals Jewelry In Daphne – WKRG

Linda McCool says a door-to-door salesman stole thousands of dollars worth of her jewelry.

DAPHNE, AL- Linda McCool was intrigued when two salesmen offering subscription television service knocked on her door.

After checking their identification, McCool invited the men in and bought a pay tv package. But before they left, salesman Jerry Stinson III asked to use McCool’s bathroom.

McCool says Stinson stole more than $2,000 worth of gold jewelry from her personal collection.

Daphne Police posted the crime on its Facebook page. Stinson’s parole officer saw the post and tracked Stinson to Mississippi. Stinson was charged with theft of property and will be extradited back to Alabama.

McCool canceled her tv subscription with Stinson. Some of her jewelry was recovered from two pawn shops in Mobile.

Stinson is also wanted for robbery in Mobile.
