Worker dies after truck rolls at Chinese-owned Hanking Gold Mining WA mine – ABC Online

The death of a man at Cornishman Pit gold mine near Southern Cross yesterday, about 400 kilometres east of Perth, will be investigated by the Western Australian Department of Mines and Petroleum.

The mine is operated by the Chinese-owned Hanking Gold Mining.

The contractor was driving a truck when it rolled about midday on Sunday.

Workers tried to revive the man but were unsuccessful.

A report is being prepared by police for the coroner.
